Everwise Foundation Grant Received
Everwise Credit Union Foundation Awards $10,000 Grant to Support Healthcare Workforce Development in Northern Indiana
South Bend, IN — The Health Talent Alliance of Northern Indiana (HTA) has received a $10,000 grant from the Everwise Foundation to advance efforts addressing critical healthcare workforce needs across the region. This investment will support the implementation of the Talent Pipeline Management (TPM) model, an employer-led workforce development strategy designed to better align education and training systems with industry demand.
The funding will specifically enable the HTA to engage a fellow from enFocus, a nonprofit organization that connects talented graduates with community-based projects. The enFocus fellow will play a key role in designing and deploying a comprehensive job forecast survey targeting regional healthcare employers. This survey will gather real-time data on current and projected workforce needs, skill gaps, and hiring trends across the healthcare sector.
By leveraging this data-driven approach, HTA aims to provide actionable insights that will inform regional workforce strategies and strengthen the talent pipeline. The ultimate goal is to ensure that healthcare providers across Northern Indiana have access to a skilled and sustainable workforce capable of meeting growing patient care demands.
“The support from the Everwise Foundation is a significant step forward in our mission to build a responsive and resilient healthcare workforce,” said Ryan Boeskool, Executive Director of the Health Talent Alliance. “By utilizing the Talent Pipeline Management model, we are placing employers at the center of workforce development and ensuring that our strategies are grounded in real-world needs.”
The TPM model, developed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, emphasizes employer collaboration to identify workforce challenges and co-create solutions with education, training, and community partners. Through this initiative, HTA will convene healthcare employers to analyze survey findings and collaboratively develop strategies to address talent shortages, improve career pathways, and enhance workforce retention.
The Everwise Foundation’s investment reflects a shared commitment to strengthening communities through economic and workforce development. By supporting innovative approaches like TPM, the foundation continues to play a vital role in fostering long-term regional prosperity.
HTA will begin deploying the job forecast survey in the coming months, with findings expected to guide strategic planning efforts throughout the year. Stakeholders across healthcare, education, and economic development sectors will be engaged in translating data insights into impactful workforce solutions.
